I just got a new Kindle HD. Nice screen. Intuitive interface. Good stuff. I was impressed with it.
Right up until I opened the Silk browser.
The browser’s default homepage is a smattering of news and gossip that was just like every other entertainment/internet homepage (i.e. Yahoo!, Aol, etc). Mine showed YouTube news and, uh, Breitbart.
WTF?
There are MILLIONS of Kindle Fires dropping into homes around America this holiday. Is Breitbart news going to have headlines plastered on them, like “California elections stolen” and “Virginia School Bans Jesus from Xmas”? I hope this isn’t a case of Breitbart outbidding real news sources for such prominent placement on one of the hottest gifts of the season.
